Happy Wednesday!! On Monday, I shared all the fun pictures from Bree’s 2nd Birthday Party. As promised, I wanted to share with you the Minnie Mouse Wreath that I made for the party, even though all the humidity kept me from hanging it outside. Yes, even duct tape didn’t keep it up!? WHUUT!?? I know, crazy.
This was a fun crafty wreath that went perfectly with her birthday party theme, and I was able to make it in under 20 minutes! I mean like 20 minutes before the party started. 🙂
Start with your basic foam wreath form. I wrapped the wreath form with black ribbon so it was completely covered and glued it on at both ends.
For the ears, I picked up a package of 2 styrofoam circles at the dollar store. I cut out a small semi-circle with a very sharp knife so the ears would fit flush against the wreath. I spray painted the ears black. I traced out the circles on the pink and white polka dot scrapbook paper and glued the paper to one side of the styrofoam.
Using toothpicks, I attached the ears to the wreath form. Just be sure to put the toothpick between the ribbon on the wreath.
Then using some cuuuuute Minnie Mouse ribbon from Hobby Lobby, I made a bow and glued it to the wreath by one of the ears.
There you go! You now have a cute Minnie Mouse Wreath for your next party!! You could even make this for a Mickey Mouse party as well. Just change out the colors and maaaaybe lose the pink bow. 😉 Just in case you missed it, you can see all the details about the Minnie Mouse Themed Birthday party here.
