Happy Easter!! Yesterday we had our annual neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. It turned out to be a great time, despite the pouring rains the day before and the 5 hours of cloudiness we had right before the party started. Talk about a close call!
Here’s all the details of our party along with some great ideas you can use through Spring!
We kept the food simple with some cookies and take home treats. This veggie tray with ranch dip in the bell pepper cup was a huge hit!
These Easter sugar cookies must have been a hit, because there were only two left at the end of the day! You can find the recipe and how-to here.
That planter box in the back was the cutest filled with Easter grass and goldfish crackers in carrot treat bags. We found the treat bags at Joann’s Fabric.
The bunnies were made with wooden beads and dum dum pops. You can find a full tutorial over at The Mother Huddle.
We had a delicious lemonade punch that’s perfect for any spring or summer get together. I’ll be sharing this recipe soon, too!
All the plates, cups, and napkins came from Target’s dollar bin. Too cute!!
And just a few decorations I put together for the egg hunt festivities!
I found the wood box at Target for $3. I totally could have made one, but sometimes simple and easy is a little better when you’re short on time. I painted the box with some paint I had left over from the office. I painted paper mache eggs with chalkboard paint and decorated them. I added moss filler to the box and a few Easter decor picks that I snagged from Michael’s Craft Store for only a $1!
Lastly, I added a little Easter grass to a simple bucket and topped it off with more chalkboard painted eggs. Simple. Easy. 🙂
And of course, there was the egg hunt!!
And what fun she had opening all those eggs to find dozens of fruit snacks, candy, and stickers! I’m pretty sure she ate three packs of fruit snacks in one sitting here. Don’t judge. 😉 Aaaannnnd I believe that may be some sugar cookie icing still on her cheeks. Oops! She’s saying, “Mom, this is the best Egg Hunt evahhhh!” Sure.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures from our Egg Hunt Party! And I hope you and your family have a great Easter! What special plans do you have this year? Any egg hunt parties??
Come back next week as I’ll be sharing the recipes for the sugar cookies and the lemonade punch! For now, let’s enjoy the weekend and welcome Spring!!
