I love having this chalkboard that I can change out with the seasons or even special
Hey there! How’s your week going? I think I’ve finally gotten all of my fall decorating done and then guess what!? It will be time for Halloween!! Seriously, Monday is October already?
Today, I want to share with you my fall chalkboard.
I’ve been pondering over what to do with this for the fall season
and just couldn’t decide on anything. That is, until late last night
when I should have been getting some shut-eye.
Instead, I was up until midnight playing with my chalks. 🙂
I keep seeing all these great fall bucket lists around the wide world of Pinterest and
that’s when the idea finally hit me. I wanted to share some of the great things that I love
about fall. I think I need a bigger chalkboard if I want to list them all, but
we do what we can with what we have around here. 🙂
The chalkboard is actually just a piece of wood that I had laying around.
I painted about 3 coats of chalkboard paint on it and hung it with some sisal rope.
It hangs in our dining room, but occasionally I get a hankering for moving things around
as you can tell in these pictures.
Yep, that’s the centerpiece tray from our fall dining room that I moved to a small
viginette in the living room.
occasions like birthdays, or whatever we feel like celebrating!
And while I never claim to be an artist or graphic designer, it’s
alot of fun to come up with new ideas to use, even if I am a bit of a perfectionist
and will re-write one letter a gazieeeeelion times. 😉
So, there you have it folks! That is the icing on all my fall decor around the house.
What are your favorite things about fall?? Do you build a big
bonfire (or a small campfire) in the backyard
and roast marshmallows? Planning any hikes?
Tomorrow, I’ll do a little recap on all our fall decor around the house
for one-stop all fall decorating ideas. Then it will be time to bring out the Halloween!!
Until then, I’ve still got a little pile of chalkdust here in the floor from last night to clean up! 😉
UPDATE: Like the chalkboard? Here’s a FREE Printable of it just for you!
