Paper Flower Valentine Wreath

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. I thought we’d start this week off with a little love and fun since Valentine’s Day is only a month away! I took some time this weekend to make this simple paper flower wreath just for that sweet occasion, Valentine’s Day!

 Valentine's Wreath

To make this wreath, you will need a foam wreath form. I already had this one, but you can get them at any craft store or even use a fun pool noodle if you have one. :) Here is my supply list:
  • wreath form
  • strips of burlap
  • paper flowers
  • hot glue gun and glue sticks (of course!) ;)
  • scrapbook paper and a paper punch (I used a 2″ square)
  • twine
I made the paper flowers that you seen on this wreath, and I’m going to share a quick tutorial with you tomorrow on how I made these. If you aren’t up for making your own, then you can also get paper flowers at your favorite craft store. ;)
Are you ready to get crafting? Grab your glue guns cause here we go!
I cut strips of burlap about 3″ to 4″ wide and frayed the ends just a little by pulling a couple of threads out. I didn’t want the green of my wreath form to show through show I applied a quick coat of white spray paint.
Once dry, I started wrapping on the burlap. Next, add your paper flowers. I used three that I made with scrapbook paper, a paper punch, and hot glue. Again, I didn’t want to overload you with pics today so that tutorial is coming tomorrow.
Next, I made some paper bunting. Use a square paper punch and scrapbook paper to punch out several squares. Fold over your squares to make triangles and glue them to your twine.
I glued the flowers and bunting to my wreath with hot glue. I also added a small white bead to the center of my flowers just to make it purdy! ;) And to add a little more sweetness to this I wrote the word “LOVE” on my bunting. It fit so perfectly, don’t cha think?

I’ll admit – I’ve never put a wreath on our front door for Valentine’s Day, but this one was just too much fun to create. And another confession – it’s the first time I’ve made a wreath for Valentine’s! :)

Hope you enjoyed this little crafty project today! What fun things did you do this weekend? We have been busy making progress around the house, and soon I’ll have pictures to share with you! You might have seen a sneak peek on Facebook or Instagram this weekend.
Don’t forget tomorrow I’ll share the paper flower tutorial with you. Yes, another paper flower tutorial. :) In case you missed it, I shared how I made crepe paper flowers last week. Hey, a girl can never get too many flowers, right??
